Breezy Blossom Granny Square 6 Easy Rounds

Breezy Blossom Granny Square

Today I’m sharing a fun and breezy little make—this is the Breezy Blossom Granny Square, a sweet and simple 6-round design that’s perfect for summer stitching.

You know I love working with small, easy squares this time of year—they work up fast, they’re super portable, and best of all… they don’t leave you sweating under a full-size blanket!

I’ve worked this one up in refreshing ocean blues, so it feels like you’re sitting at the beach gazing out over the water… or maybe just lounging by the backyard pool. Either way, the colours feel breezy—and the square is breezy to make, too.

I’ve turned mine into a pillow pattern, but it would be super easy to keep going and create a sweet baby blanket or a throw for those cooler evenings out on the deck.

So let’s talk supplies—and then we’ll dive into our square!

You can find more captivating colour combinations for your squares over on my Instagram and Pinterest.
I love sharing lots of pics of my colour experiments there!

For this square, I’m using worsted weight yarn in five colours, but feel free to choose your own colour palette.

Here’s what I used for my version of the Breezy Blossom Granny Square:

One of my Favourite Places to order yarn online is Mary Maxim Yarns – they carry a nice variety of colours and brands at affordable prices, and they also offer great coupons to inspire you to keep coming back for more, because can you really have too much yarn?

My Favourite Hook is the Susan Bates Ergonomic Silvalume
